On October 17-19, 2013, Omsk hosted the International Scientific Conference "Creativity in the Archaeological and Ethnographic Dimension". It is an excellent and, unfortunately, rare example of fruitful cooperation between science and business in our country. The conference was held on the initiative and with the support of one of the most prosperous enterprises in the region - JSC Omsk Production Association "Radio Plant named after A. S. Popov "(RELERO). On its territory is the famous multi-layered archaeological site "Omsk parking". The management of the plant finances activities for the study and protection of this monument. The conference was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of his research. Forum participants made a study trip to the monument.
In addition to the conference, the exhibitions "Parade of Peoples" (from the collections of the Russian Ethnographic Museum, St. Petersburg) and "Hidden Siberia: treasures of the Great Land (the opening of the Omsk Parking Lot is 95 years old) "were timed to coincide with the anniversary (it was based on materials from the collections of the State Historical Museum (Moscow), the Museum of History and Culture of Peoples Siberian State Museum of Local Lore (Novosibirsk), Omsk State Museum of Local Lore (OGIKM), etc.), which aroused considerable interest and became a significant event in the cultural life of Omsk. In addition, a sumptuous album "Omskaya Stoyanka" (Omsk, 2013. 244 p, 490 ill.) has been published, which most fully represents the rich materials of the archaeological complex at the moment. In the preface, V. I. Molodin emphasized: "This significant monument has entered science thanks to the remarkable materials of various archaeological epochs, starting from the New Stone Age and ending with the Middle Ages. The fate of the "Omsk parking lot" was not easy, because today it was located within the boundaries of a megalopolis with all the ensuing consequences. < ... > The administration of the Omsk Radio Plant named after A. cultural and historical heritage of Russia. I am convinced that the album will be in demand not only by members of the scientific community, but also by Siberians, those who care about the history and culture of our Fatherland!".
The conference was organized by Russian scientific organizations - OGIKM, Omsk Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after M. A. Vrubel, Institute of Archeology and Ethnography SB RAS, Omsk Branch of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography SB RAS, Siberian Branch of the Russian Institute of Cultural Studies, Omsk State University named after F. M. Dostoevsky, as well as foreign partners-Autonomous State University Mexico City (Toluca, Mexico), L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana, Kazakhstan), Nicolaus Copernicus University (Torun, Poland). The chairman of the organizing committee is Academician A. P. Derevyanko, co-chairs are NA. Tomilov and B. A. Konikov.
The success of the conference was facilitated by the fact that its organizers were free to choose their topics. As a result, the innovative topic "Creativity in the archaeological and ethnographic dimension", which is rare for archaeological and anthropological forums, was adopted and the following problem blocks were identified: creativity and the creator as an anthropological phenomenon; chronology and interpretation of monuments of ancient and modern traditional art of the peoples of Siberia; contribution of Russian and foreign scientists to the study of ancient and modern creativity of the peoples of Siberia; preservation of monuments of ancient and traditional creative heritage and their actualization for modern society; images and archetypes in ancient and modern art. However, the novelty of the stated topic also had a downside: during preliminary consultations, it turned out that not all scientists fully understood the original wording. Well, we hope that the conference and its results will become an incentive to expand our research horizons. A voluminous collection of materials from the conference "Creativity in the Archaeological and Ethnographic Dimension" (Omsk: Nauka Publishing House, 2013, 394 p.) was published at the beginning of the conference.
The plenary session heard reports of Russian scientists B. A. Konikov "The Omsk Parking Lot monument Complex: the history of gains and losses", A. V. Zhuk "The Omsk Parking Lot: discovery, first collections and first impressions", E. M. Danchenko and M. A. Grachev "The Omsk Parking Lot: research results in 2012-2013", V. V. Bobrov "Reflecting on the primitive Art of Siberia", N. I. Novikova "The work of Yuri Vella as a model of multiculturalism", and foreign colleagues of K. V. Yushchenko. Altynbekova (Kazakhstan)" Creativity of restorers as actualization of ancient art", T. Masumoto (Japan)"Silver cup found at Bateni village and its place in the history of applied art in East Asia".
Then the meetings flowed on. Theoretical and methodological problems of studying creative activity viewed through the prism of archeology and ethnography were reflected in the program reports of L. Y. Kitova, E. A. Miklashevich (unfortunately, her report "Creativity in the visual activity of primitive man" was not prepared for publication and was only heard orally), S. S. Tikhonov, N. A. Tomilov, O. M. Ryndina (her report was polemically focused on the plenary speech of V. V. Bobrov), V. M. Kulemzin, Yu. I. Ozheredov (Russia), S. V. Koch and A. A. Prigarin (Ukraine).
Specific manifestations of creativity and the results of their study were presented in the speeches of foreign researchers R. de la Peña Vinchez (Mexico), A. I. Ganchev (Finland), G. N. Stoyanova (Ukraine, her report on toasts as a form of intercultural communication, richly flavored with Odessa flavor, caused a strong reaction in the audience), M. I. Tkacheva (Belarus) and Russian scientists A. G. and I. A. Seleznev, Yu. V. Gerasimov, M. A. Korusenko, S. N. Korusenko, N. Myagkov, N. A. Levochkina, M. N. Tikhomirova, A. A. Ilina, R. A. Smirnykh, M. A. Zhigunova, V. I. Gutyra, A. N. Blinova, A. F. Nazarova, I. V. Schmidt, Yu. S. Khudyakova, Zh. Orozbekova, I. Yu. Ponkratova, S. F. Tataurov, L. V. Tataurova, V. V. Mikhalev, K. N. Tikhomirov, I. V. Tolpeko, G. G. Guryanova, S. V. Kalugina, E. M. Danchenko, E. R. Akhunova, L. E. Malyakutova, Sh. K. Akhmetova, I. V. Chernova, E. Yu. Smirnova, Jr. Berezhnova, joint report by A. K. Akmatov, A. Yu. Borisenko, K. Sh. Tabaldiev and Yu. S. Khudyakov.
The Decision adopted at the end of the conference expressed gratitude to its organizers, especially noting the role of the leadership of the Omsk Radio Factory named after A. S. Popov, as well as museums that organize exhibitions. A wish was expressed to hold the Second international scientific conference "Creativity in the archaeological and ethnographic dimension" to mark the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the study of the "Omsk site" in 2018.
